Application Engineer
InterImage is seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Developer. This position provides senior-level technical and functional expertise supporting joint force deployment planning and execution for Department of Defense (DoD) mission partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides technical expertise for the Database Schema and Ruleset.
- Responsible for development and refinement of Database changes.
- Analyze deployment requirements, command relationships, and force movement characteristics across joint and interagency environments.
- Collaborate with military planners, analysts, engineers, and senior stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare and present technical and analytical deliverables, including briefings, white papers, and reports, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 12+ years of application development experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical systems.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using:
- Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
- Oracle WebLogic and/or Apache Tomcat
- Java
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall development environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of DoD and interagency policies, processes, and operational planning frameworks.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to diverse stakeholder groups with varying priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to deployment planning issues, including joint command relationships, responsibilities, and deployment characteristics.
