Technical Sales Specialist - Southern California

Greenworks Tools is a leader in battery-powered outdoor power equipment bringing sustainable, high-performance tools to consumers and professionals. The Technical Sales Specialist will develop and grow professional dealer, distributor, and end-user relationships across Southern California to expand sales of Greenworks' professional OPE line, support product launches, deliver product training, and act as a resource for distributor territory managers and dealers.

Skills

  • Strong industry knowledge of handheld and wheeled professional OPE
  • Proven field sales and dealer/distributor channel experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-centric mindset with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience delivering product training and demos
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned commercial OPE business segment and achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Manage and maintain company-issued demo equipment for sales and training use
  • Deliver product training to distributor staff and key dealer personnel
  • Prospect, generate leads, and acquire new distributor and dealer accounts
  • Participate in and lead tradeshows and key marketing events within the channel
  • Plan and execute new product launch initiatives in assigned geography
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, and Field Sales
  • Serve as liaison and resource for Distributor Territory Managers and authorized dealers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience with OPE or OPE parts manufacturer
  • 3+ years of field sales experience within OPE or OPE parts manufacturer
