Major Account Executive, Northeast

GitLab is an AI-powered DevSecOps orchestration platform used by millions and trusted by a large portion of the Fortune 100. We are seeking a Strategic / Major Account Executive focused on the Northeast to lead complex enterprise sales motions, build C-level relationships, and drive new business acquisition and expansion across strategic accounts.

Skills

  • Proven experience driving complex B2B enterprise software sales cycles
  • Track record selling into large, strategic enterprise accounts in the Northeast US
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with C-level and senior technical/business stakeholders
  • Consultative, multi-stakeholder sales approach focused on long-term adoption and expansion
  • Experience working with channel and strategic partners to generate pipeline and co-sell
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency using GitLab, Salesforce, and account planning tools
  • Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic growth across Northeast enterprise accounts and act as a trusted technology advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional sales motions by coordinating Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Sales Development, Channel & Alliances, and technical specialists.
  • Design and execute strategic account plans including opportunity mapping, stakeholder alignment, and multi-threaded engagement.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles from discovery through evaluation, negotiation, and implementation to deliver measurable Net ARR and expansion.
  • Build deep strategic partnerships by understanding customers’ industry landscape, metrics, compliance needs, and long-term goals.
  • Contribute to forecasting and pipeline reviews, perform win/loss analysis, and share insights to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and recommendations that communicate business outcomes and long-term value.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience in enterprise software sales accepted
