Skills
- Deep experience with backend and distributed systems engineering
- Service-oriented architecture and microservice design patterns
- Proven production experience building high-traffic, high-availability systems
- API design and real-time systems (SSE, WebSockets) expertise
- Experience building internal tools, SDKs, and frameworks consumed by other engineers
- Diagnostics, performance optimization, monitoring, and incident management
- Clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive projects end-to-end
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform services and frameworks (analytics, experimentation, feature flags, real-time delivery).
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy for distributed platform services.
- Own major initiatives from design through production and iteration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and product engineering teams to translate needs into platform solutions.
- Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, testing, incident response, and participation in on-call rotation.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers across the organization.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
