Skills
- 3+ years as a Backend or Fullstack Software Engineer
- Experience building server applications; Golang is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud)
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
- Familiarity with REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Strong testing, debugging, and observability practices
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Cadence platform
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across a rapidly growing team
- Collaborate with product owners, clinical stakeholders, and customers to define solutions
- Participate in the 6-week delivery cycle to ship well-designed, tested, and documented features
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance for large-scale patient monitoring
- Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and operational runbooks for production services
- Review code, mentor teammates, and help raise the bar on engineering practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience accepted
