Skills
- 5+ years as a backend or fullstack software engineer
- Experience building server applications (Golang a plus)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud)
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
- Familiarity with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling
- Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
- Experience designing scalable, reliable distributed systems
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that power Cadence's remote patient monitoring platform
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the team
- Collaborate with product owners, clinical stakeholders, and customers to shape solutions
- Ship well-architected features as part of a 6-week delivery cycle
- Ensure production reliability, observability, and performance at scale
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior engineers
- Work with cloud infrastructure and data stores to support secure, compliant systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant professional experience in backend or fullstack engineering
