Responsibilities
- Own and drive turboshaft development within a hybrid powertrain/turbogenerator architecture
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary turboshaft team (fuel, turbine design, exhaust, thermal, controls)
- Define turboshaft sub-systems and integration requirements for mechanical and systems engineers
- Plan and direct turboshaft testing, verification, and certification programs
- Manage technical, certification, program, and integration risks to meet program milestones
- Optimize turboshaft design for integrated unit-level performance and manufacturability
- Define development strategy for turboshaft, turbogenerator, and wider hybrid-powertrain approach
- Produce comprehensive technical reports and communicate complex rationale to stakeholders
Education
- BS, MS, or PhD in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering/science field
