- Proficient programming in C++, Python, Go, or Rust
- Experience with networking and cloud-native technologies
- System integration and fieldable system design experience
- Simulation, HITL, and validation testing expertise
- Familiarity with software build/package/configuration management
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and support at-sea operations
- Eligible to obtain and hold U.S. security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and maintain mission autonomy interfaces between vehicle, payload, and command systems.
- Develop ConOps analysis, mission flows, and define inputs/outputs for mission behaviors.
- Own build, package, and configuration of mission autonomy software for MCS, OCS, and PDK instantiations.
- Deliver PDK to payload teams and co-lead payload integration on each ship type.
- Support HITL development, simulation (ASV MissionSim), scenario/data curation, and validation testing.
- Plan and support ship V&V and at-sea integrations, checkouts, debug, and testing.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and test engineers to produce field-ready systems.
- Conduct peer and cross-discipline design reviews, requirements analysis, and system verification planning.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Relevant technical training or equivalent practical experience in embedded/autonomy systems
