Skills
- Active U.S. Top Secret clearance (able to maintain)
- Domain experience in missile defense, space, radar, sensor fusion or related fields
- Proficiency in physics-math scripting (MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python with numpy/scipy)
- Strong engineering fundamentals in astrodynamics, aerospace, dynamics & controls or related disciplines
- Experience independently owning and executing program deliverables
- Excellent data visualization and oral/written presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design mission trajectories and constellation architectures to meet operational requirements
- Develop and implement physics-level models and simulations to evaluate mission trades and system performance
- Perform rigorous math- and physics-based analyses to create clear, stakeholder-facing value propositions
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Operations and Test teams to integrate models into program deliverables
- Use internal M&S capabilities to produce asymmetric analytical advantage over competitors
- Present complex results visually and verbally to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Guide hardware engineering decisions with analysis that informs design and trade-space choices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Applied Physics, or related engineering/science field (required)
- Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline preferred for deeper MS&A work
