- Strong analog and digital electronics knowledge
- Full-cycle PCB and schematic design experience
- Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes)
- Familiarity with interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB
- Experience with MCU/CPU and FPGA platforms
- Comfortable with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Signal integrity and power integrity design experience
- Battery systems design and integration experience
- Experience with RF systems and high-power electronics
- Familiarity with software development tools (git, GitHub, JIRA)
- Ability to support qualification and field testing; eligible for U.S. Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle PCB design: requirements, schematic capture, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, test, debug and system integration
- Troubleshoot electrical-software boundary issues using lab equipment and software debugging tools
- Design and integrate payloads and subsystems (sensors, interfaces, power management, networking)
- Create system interconnect diagrams and wire harness definitions
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test teams to deliver flight-capable systems
- Support integration, verification, and testing of rotorcraft systems through TRLs 3–8
- Perform system design, analysis, requirements decomposition and verification planning
- Lead and participate in peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
- Support fieldable hardware development, qualification campaigns and ruggedization efforts
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
- Advanced degree (MS) in EE or related field preferred but not required
