Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and analysis of satellite and aerospace systems across the full engineering lifecycle.
- Drive system‑level requirements development, decomposition, and flow‑down to subsystems and components.
- Conduct architecture and trade studies to guide mission optimization and design decisions.
- Develop verification plans, traceability matrices, test strategies, and analysis plans.
- Maintain requirements traces and RVTMs; ensure standards and systems processes are implemented across teams and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional technical groups and external stakeholders to define interfaces and constraints.
- Guide subsystem teams on design‑for‑cost, design‑for‑manufacturing, and design‑for‑test principles.
- Identify and apply reuse of heritage designs and determine necessary modifications for new missions.
- Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams including spacecraft bus, payloads, avionics, and launch integration.
- Support long‑term product roadmap planning, cost‑targeting, and design evolution for future missions.
- Promote cost efficiency and process optimization through reuse of heritage platforms and manufacturing processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (required)
- Master's degree in a relevant STEM field (preferred)
