Compliance Paralegal

AffirmedRx is a mission-driven company improving health care outcomes by bringing clarity, integrity, and trust to pharmacy benefit management. The Compliance Paralegal will support the legal and compliance team by managing regulatory filings and state licensure processes, conducting research and audits, maintaining compliance records, and coordinating with internal teams and external counsel to ensure adherence to applicable laws and company policies.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of compliance program elements and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing state licensure processes and regulatory filings
  • Proven legal research and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and documentation for internal and external reviews
  • Manage state licensure applications, renewals, and reporting requirements
  • Conduct routine compliance audits and organize documentation for legal review
  • Research regulatory changes and monitor state licensure legislation and industry trends
  • Collaborate with attorneys, business leaders, external counsel, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support compliance initiatives
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and produce audit reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and policy interpretation
  • Maintain and update compliance records and ensure confidential handling of sensitive information
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel with compliance projects and process improvements
  • Travel as needed (approximately 10%–20%) for regulatory meetings or audits

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, compliance, business, or related field preferred
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent preferred
  • Ongoing compliance training or certifications are a plus
