Skills
- 1.5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
- Experience designing, developing, and launching scalable APIs using Python or Kotlin.
- Strong ability to write clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
- Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others' code, and conducting code reviews.
- Effective verbal and written communication for collaboration with distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Break down larger projects into deliverable tasks and implement them iteratively with support from tech lead and manager.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics to scope features, articulate technical constraints, and make trade-offs.
- Design, implement, test, and ship backend APIs and services that operate at scale.
- Perform code reviews, debug across a large codebase, and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Create and monitor metrics, support operational availability, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Contribute to team growth through interviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship activities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
