Skills
- Proven experience delivering ML/AI solutions from prototype to production
- Strong data engineering and architecture background (Databricks, Spark, SQL)
- Familiarity with Mosaic AI Gateway and related Data+AI tooling
- Working knowledge of RAG architectures, SQL Agents, and MCP
- Experience with model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps patterns
- Solid software engineering practices: code review, testing, CI/CD
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and responsible AI practices
- Excellent mentorship, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of AI/ML systems from concept through production
- Define technical standards, best practices, and engineering patterns for AI across teams
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure AI solutions and execution plans
- Guide model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape AI strategy and roadmap
- Mentor and coach senior and junior engineers to raise technical maturity and delivery quality
- Ensure responsible AI practices, data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation initiatives and proof-of-concepts
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree preferred
- Relevant professional certifications or continual learning in ML/AI and data engineering preferred
