Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Interns will engage in a variety of learning and development tasks, including:
Designing training content specifically for CPS and APS programs.
Creating new training courses from the ground up based on identified needs.
Updating or modifying existing training materials and curricula.
Developing supporting materials and resources for virtual and in-person training.
Assisting with or observing virtual and/or face-to-face training sessions.
Creating self-paced, asynchronous learning modules.
Conducting research on best practices in adult learning and recommending ways to incorporate these strategies into DHHS training programs.
Collaborating with Learning & Development team members from backgrounds such as Social Work, Education, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Business, and Sociology.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution) OR recently graduated (within one year) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution).
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate student in Education, Training & Development, Human Resources, Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work), Criminal Justice, Business, or related fields.
Graduate-level students (Master’s) are strongly encouraged to apply and may be especially well suited for the role.
Individuals who thrive in roles involving:

Creative problem-solving and research
Strong communication and writing skills

Interns will finish the program with completed training projects, portfolio-ready materials, and practical experience applying adult learning theories in a real organizational setting.
