Technical Writer

Turnkey builds developer-first infrastructure for private key management, used to create wallets, sign transactions, and automate on-chain actions via a single API. We're looking for a solo Technical Writer to own and build a world-class developer documentation function — responsible for auditing, restructuring, authoring, and maintaining reference docs, guides, and code examples while making content discoverable and usable by both developers and LLMs/agents.

Skills

Ability to read and write code well enough to produce correct, idiomatic examples
Proven experience owning developer-facing documentation end-to-end
Strong experience with API and SDK documentation (reference + guides + examples)
Experience with docs tooling: static site generators, version control, CI, and docs automation
Familiarity with LLM/agent considerations for content structure and machine-readability
Excellent writing and information architecture skills

Responsibilities

Own the entire docs surface: audit, restructure, and continuously improve existing documentation
Write and maintain reference docs, guides, tutorials, and idiomatic code examples across the API and SDKs
Design and implement documentation systems, standards, and processes to keep docs accurate as the product scales
Partner closely with engineering to ship docs alongside features and ensure technical accuracy
Develop machine-readable structure and formats to make docs discoverable and usable by LLMs/agents
Create and maintain tooling and automation (linting, freshness checks, generation pipelines) to ensure docs quality
Measure and iterate on docs based on developer feedback, analytics, and usage patterns

Education

Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
Prefer candidates with formal training or demonstrated experience in technical writing or developer documentation
