Skills
- Proficient in modern C++ and object-oriented design for embedded systems.
- Experience with microcontroller/MCU development and real-time embedded systems.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and low-level system troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD automation for embedded software.
- Experience building vehicle interfaces and communication layers (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, vehicle buses).
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance C++ applications for real-time embedded MCU environments used for system monitoring and fault handling.
- Develop and maintain software interfaces between the Torc autonomous driver and the base vehicle platform.
- Lead component design and own the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and deployment automation.
- Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers to promote best practices and engineering excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile environment to ensure system reliability and architecture consistency.
- Refine scalable frameworks and contribute to system-level safety and fault aggregation strategies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (required).
- Master's or PhD in a related field (preferred, per bonus qualifications).
