This posting is for proactive recruitment purposes and may be used to fill current openings or future vacancies within our organization.

Summary of the Role:

The legal industry is undergoing its most significant transformation in generations. As AI reshapes how legal professionals work, Thomson Reuters sits at the center of that shift, and how we show up in social and community spaces matters more than ever. This role exists to make sure Thomson Reuter’s voice is present, credible, and influential where legal professionals are already having the conversations that shape their decisions.

We are looking for a Social Media Community and Content Manager who is equal parts strategist, writer, and community builder. You understand the legal professional's world, the pressures, the vocabulary, the skepticism, and the excitement around emerging technology. You know how to craft a LinkedIn post that earns a share from a partner at an AmLaw 100 firm, and you're just as comfortable engaging in a Reddit thread as you are developing a compelling script for new social video. You will lead a small social team, own organic strategy across our key platforms for legal content and be the person who ensures Thomson Reuters is never late to a conversation that matters.

About the Role:

  • Own LinkedIn, Facebook, X organic content strategy which includes thought leadership and employee advocacy activation focused on our legal products
  • Own Reddit presence across relevant subreddits in the legal tech community
  • Support YouTube long-form strategy (series development, comment engagement)
  • Lead the rapid-response social function: monitor breaking legal news, regulatory changes, AI-in-law developments, and draft real-time TR perspective posts within a 2–4 hour window
  • Manage a social listening stack (Talkwalker + agent) and actively respond to customers on key social channels within SLA’s
  • Monthly social reporting to interpret performance data from social media and translate insights into actionable recommendations to elevate our social strategy

About You:

  • 5-8 years B2B social media, ideally in legal tech or professional services, with a focus in social media management, content creation, or community management
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling, on-brand copy tailored to different social platforms and audiences
  • Experience managing and growing social media communities with a strong understanding of engagement best practices across LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and X
  • Proficiency with social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social
  • Reddit fluency
  • Strong writing skills with legal or professional services vocabulary
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, PR, and content teams
  • A passion for staying ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats
