  • Coordinate closely with planners, analysts, public affairs, and communication strategists to ensure content aligns with campaign objectives and operational messaging.
  • Ensure all content complies with DoD public affairs guidance, OPSEC, classification review, and release authorities prior to dissemination.
  • Manage rapid-turn editorial production cycles in support of time-sensitive senior leader engagements and operational requirements.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) at the time of proposal submission and maintain the clearance level required to access the facility.
  • Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience directly managing professional journalists and creative staff across multiple publications (e.g., newspapers, magazines, online publications) within editorial guidelines established by senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting DoD, Intel, or other federal government communications, public affairs, or information operations efforts.
  • Proven ability to manage high-visibility, time-sensitive editorial production in a mission-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of editorial workflows, fact-checking processes, and content governance.
  • Experience producing content for digital platforms and diverse audience segments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required access to classified systems and environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with foreign language versions and translations to and from English language publications.
  • Experience supporting strategic communications, psychological operations (PSYOP), or influence campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Joint Staff, or Combatant Command communication structures, particularly within operational or information environments.
  • Experience developing editorial content for international audiences and cross-cultural contexts.
  • Knowledge of audience analysis, engagement metrics, and content performance evaluation.
