Donβt sleep on tutoring!
also your GM background means youβve got strong ops/admin skills. Try looking for remote operations coordinator or virtual assistant jobs.
if youβre open to contract work, some remote research assistant roles donβt require lab presence
transcription or captioning work could work well while youβre still recovering, low physical strain and flexible hours.
With a neuroscience background, you could also look into remote clinical trial coordination or data annotation for medical AI projects.
Customer support (email/chat) might be a good fit. A lot of companies have night shifts for global coverage.

Hey all!
Iβm 36, ex-chef and restaurant manager, recently recovered from a major illness that made me rethink everything. I also have a neuroscience degree (top UK uni, solid grades), but lab or research work is off the table right now.
I need a remote, flexible role I can do while healing. No rigid schedules. Ideally evening shifts (US time zones work best for me). Open to admin, support, even entry-level stuff with a growth path.
