Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- 1-2 years professional experience in technical roles (Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS preferred)
- Familiarity with energy storage fundamentals and industry terminology
- Basic AutoCAD experience and intermediate Excel proficiency
- Ability to review engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience supporting technical negotiations for equipment, engineering, or construction agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to evaluate risk, prioritize tasks, and work under ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Evaluate energy storage technologies, site layout options, and technical feasibility for prospective projects
- Support development of project capital and operational cost estimates and milestone schedules for financial models
- Review engineering drawings and specifications and support design decisions that reduce construction and operational risk
- Identify and present technical risks and propose de-risking strategies
- Support equipment procurement, technical negotiations, and engineering & construction contracting activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, commercial, procurement, and construction teams to advance projects
- Support preparation of technical deliverables for bids, offtake discussions, and internal decision gates
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline required
- Relevant technical training or certifications in power/energy or project engineering beneficial
