Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management

Honor Technology is a leader in aging-care innovation, operating Home Instead and a large, multi-state care network. The Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management will lead employment-related and operational dispute response, advise on compliance across a distributed workforce, manage outside counsel and administrative proceedings, and build scalable processes to reduce legal risk while enabling growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategy and resolution of employment-related disputes including wage & hour, discrimination, and retaliation matters
  • Advise on non-employment claims such as service incidents, professional liability, and operational risks
  • Draft and respond to attorney demand letters and pre-litigation correspondence
  • Partner with People, Operations, and leadership to provide practical, risk-balanced legal guidance
  • Identify systemic legal risks and design scalable, data-driven solutions and playbooks
  • Manage outside counsel, litigation spend, and ensure efficient, high-quality representation
  • Represent the company in administrative proceedings (EEOC, state agencies, etc.) as needed
  • Develop and enhance legal processes, training materials, and technology-enabled workflows
  • Support internal investigations and sensitive employee matters with sound judgment

Education

  • J.D. degree and active bar membership
  • Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
