- Active Polygraph clearance required
- 10+ years DBE experience on similar scope programs (or equivalent)
- DoD 8570.01-M compliance: IAT Level II (required)
- Extensive Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard administration
- Linux administration and shell scripting (bash)
- SQL and database schema design
- Experience with database installation, patching, and upgrades
- Cloud database concepts and ODBC integration
Responsibilities
- Lead database design, implementation, optimization, storage and retrieval strategies supporting program requirements
- Install, patch, and maintain Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Oracle Data Guard
- Develop and maintain database schemas, parsers, loaders, ad hoc queries, scripts and macros
- Analyze system improvements and performance tuning recommendations
- Develop short- and long-term requirements for database administration and design
- Direct organization of data into usable schemas balancing volume, distribution, response times, retention, and security
- Lead development of complex systems using queries, tables, ODBC and cloud-based storage/retrieval
- Support information assurance and DoD 8570.01-M / IAT-II compliance activities
- Mentor and lead junior DBAs and coordinate cross-functional database efforts
- Create and maintain operational documentation and change control for database systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (required) OR
- Five additional years of DBE experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
